A shocking TV show where parents choose a daughter-in-law based on a 15-billion-VND house and having servants.

The upcoming dating game show Cho phép được yêu is said to be a real-life version of 'in-law battles,' where parents go on television to fight for a son-in-law or daughter-in-law using every possible tactic. In one situation, two mothers did everything they could to advertise their sons in order to win over the potential daughter-in-law.

One mother persuaded: 'My family is far superior to the other side. My son is tall, handsome, and more radiant.' In response, the other mother, whose son appeared smaller, said: 'If you choose my son, you will live in a luxurious villa worth more than 15 billion VND, with servants to take care of you.'

This was just one of the fierce bride-and-groom selection scenes featured in the game show Cho phép được yêu.

A future mother-in-law flaunts her family’s wealth to find a daughter-in-law.

After a series of familiar dating game shows on television, Cho phép được yêu introduces a twist: not only do young men and women search for their other half, but their parents also actively participate in the matchmaking process.

In each episode, one main character appears with their family to meet four potential dating candidates—either young women or young men—along with their parents. Following an intense showdown between the four sets of parents, each trying to prove 'my child is the best,' the main character’s family ultimately decides whom to ally with and which family’s child they will allow their own to date.

Two mothers try to persuade their future daughter-in-law to choose their sons in a heated confrontation.

Like many other dating shows, Cho phép được yêu is divided into several rounds.
After the 'daughter’s side' shows off their children, it is time for the 'son’s side' to decide which family will be the first to leave.
In the next round, the main character and their family get a clearer picture of the potential partner through a short video clip. With more information, the son’s or daughter’s family eliminates another family, leaving two 'rival houses' to advance to the decisive round.
In the final round, the remaining two daughters-in-law or sons-in-law reveal themselves, and together with their parents, prepare to face off to convince the in-laws that my child is the most deserving one to be chosen.

Although the final decision rests with the parents, Cho phép được yêu still gives the contestant the chance to express whether they agree or disagree with their family’s choice.
If they agree, when the secret door opens, the young man or woman will step forward, take the chosen one’s hand, and greet both families.
If they disagree, they have the right to remain in place, and the door will automatically close—serving as their silent answer.

Minh Xù and Khả Như take on the roles of matchmakers in Cho phép được yêu.

Cho phép được yêu will premiere its first episode at 10 p.m. on November 2 on HTV7 and will air weekly thereafter.
