Each episode of Quý Ông Hoàn Hảo (Mister Perfect) is a fun, humorous yet dramatic and surprising showdown. Over 45 minutes, five gentlemen from different walks of life – actors, singers, models, businessmen, as well as teachers, engineers, doctors, painters, farmers, and students – will face four challenges to determine the most perfect man: the Masculinity Challenge, the Intelligence Challenge, the Everyday Life Challenge, and the Mister Perfect Challenge.
In addition, Mister Perfect also highlights the element of female empowerment. What makes this game show truly unique is that, alongside the three famous and beautiful female judges, there are 400 additional ‘judges’ – the 400 women in the studio audience – who will cheer for and directly vote for the contestants.
Amidst mixed public opinion suggesting that Mister Perfect Season 1 (2017) resembled a ‘male beauty pageant,’ Ms. Do Thi Thanh Huong, representative of the producer Sunrise Media and the show’s general director, clarified: ‘Our competition is not just about appearances; it is about masculinity, intelligence, and especially everyday manners – to see whether they are truly decent men, real gentlemen.’ She further emphasized: ‘What matters in this contest is not simply whether the answers are right or wrong, but whether the ladies feel a sense of admiration and affection toward the gentleman. That is why, even if a contestant gives an incorrect answer in a challenge, his elegance in communication and kindness in everyday behavior can still make him the winner.
To ensure the show’s continued popularity, MC and singer Hoàng Rapper – a familiar face who stirred up Vietnam’s showbiz in 2017 – will return as the host of Mister Perfect 2018.
Episode 1 will air at 10:00 PM on January 13 on HTV7, featuring five contestants: Nguyen Ngoc Giau – a hairstylist who won the National Golden Scissors Award in 2016; Nguyen Dang Khoa (20 years old, civil engineer); Lam Minh Du (26 years old, actor); Du Thien (singer from Hanoi); and Ngo Cong Ly (engineer).
The three main judges of the first episode are singer Miko Lan Trinh, actress Duong Cam Linh, and beauty queen Nam Em.
